Tips on How To Buy a Used iPhone.

Now with rumors running really wild about a new iPhone release scheduled as early as this June, the market will soon start to get flooded with used iPhones. We can say that many or even most iPhones for sale will be in excellent condition and just being sold by a iPhone fan, trying to raise some income for purchasing the new iPhone. Many iPhones will also be sold by consumers who already have purchased the new iPhone and are looking for a way to get rid of their older version.
So let's take a closer look on how to go about purchasing a used iPhone.
There are quite a number of used iPhones available on auction sites on the Internet. But before you spend a cent for a used iPhone , you should read the guide on buying a used iPhone below.
Buy from the seller you know
It is always best to buy used items, particularly an Apple iPhone, from the people you know and trust. If you buy from your close friends and family, at least you can ask them for discounts and they will be more than willing to entertain your questions about the condition of the phone. If you are buying from an auction site, however, it is best to check the seller’s ratings and the feedback from his or her previous customers.
Make sure to inquire
The first thing you need to ask the seller is his or her reason for selling the phone. Ask if the phone is still under warranty. You should also know whether the phone has scratches or has been dropped. If you are buying from an auction site, such as eBay, you should be more careful because you don’t have the phone physically for inspection. Thus, you need to really read the fine words in the description and ask the seller for information about the phone before making the purchase.
Ask for a return policy
Since purchasing online means that you won't be able to inspect the iPhone until after the pyrchase and delivery, you need to have a return policy arrangement with the seller. Even if you buy it from a relative or freind, remeber that you won't really get to know the phone by inspecting it for a few minutes. It is advisable to arrange a return policy before purchasing. This will keep you safe in the event that the iPhone does not perform the way you expected.
Check for damages on the phone
When you have the phone, be sure to check for water damage. You should also check for dents, scratches and other damages. You don’t want to pay for something that is damaged.
Once you have your iPhone make sure to get the iPhone accessories that will help you get the most out of it. ShopCell.com provides many iPhoe Accessories at the lowest price on the web or elswhere. Make sure to checkout ShopCell.com's great selection for all your iPhone needs.

Dell Axim X51v PDA Voted as Great PDA.
Let's take a closer look at this Dell Axim X51v PDA , and see what are it's pros and cons.
The Axim X51v is Dell's top-of-the-line Pocket PC. It includes a 624MHz processor, an Intel 16MB graphics accelerator with OpenGL ES and JSR-184 support, and a 3.7 inch VGA screen. It's also got integrated WiFi and Bluetooth along with an SD card slot and a Compact Flash card slot. The only thing missing is a GSM/GPRS phone module. The Axim x51v still looks great in its clean design. The mic is located on the top left corner and the speaker is under the d-pad, so if you want to use this with VoIP apps, you'll likely need to hold it upside down or get a stereo headset with mic.
The unit has a single LED on the top right corner which flashes blue when one or more wireless radios are on. As with other Axim models, the power button lights amber when the unit is charging and glows green when fully charged. The power button flashes amber when a reminder goes off.
The X51v is in the top tier of current Pocket PCs thanks to its 624MHz "Bulverde" Intel XScale PXA270 processor. Currently, only the high end Dell Axim X30 model (QVGA) and HP iPAQ hx4700 run the same 624MHz processor. As you'd expect, the unit is fast, though you may see the slightest delay opening menus and windows since the device is running at VGA resolution and uses ROM rather than RAM for application and file storage. It is up to the task of even the most demanding applications including action games and video playback. WM5 is a bit slower than Windows Mobile 2003 because applications and data reside in ROM which is slower than RAM. We noticed a half second additional delay dropping down the Start Menu and launching programs takes a second longer, despite the operating system's caching of files in RAM which is faster than ROM.
Since this uses Windows Mobile 5, all of the applications and data are stored in ROM along with the operating system. The 64MB of RAM is only needed for running applications. Windows Mobile 5.0 caches operating system files heavily to improve performance, and uses a significant portion of available RAM. At boot, 49.47 megs of RAM are shown as available, and another 19 megs of that available memory are used by the OS. That means you'll have about 30 megs out of 64 available to run programs. That's certainly adequate even for power users, but it's surprising how much of that 64 megs is used by the device.
The unit has 256 megs of flash ROM, 195 of which are available as internal storage. The operating system and related programs are permanently installed in the remaining 59 megs of ROM. Dell always uses Intel StrataFlash memory for flash ROM which is faster than NAND. Though all data is stored on non-volatile ROM, you can still hard reset the device if needed to clear out all of your personal data. No special utilities are required, simply press the soft reset hole and power button simultaneously to bring up the hard reset option, just as with the X50v.
Overall we can say that the Dell Axim X51v PDA is a excellent choice, with great performance. ShopCell offers now this Dell Axim X51v PDA for as low as $279.99. You will also find at shopCell.com a great variety of Dell Axim X51v PDA accessories

Customer Reviews on the LG Voyager VX-10000 Cell Phone
Some however have critics on this phone: The LG Voyager VX10000's camera lacks such extra options as a flash and Wi-Fi. The touch screen can be clunky at times, and the streaming video quality and EV-DO connection speed were uneven.
The bottom line on the LG Voyager VX10000, is that even though we had some minor complaints here and there, the Voyager's sleek design, generous feature set and excellent performance make it the best LG messaging and multimedia phone by far.
What are our customers saying on this LG Voyager VX10000 :
"Best phone I have ever owned. LG & Verizon have teamed up to produce a winner. Good looks with a brain. If you're in the market for a PDA or Smartphone then the Voyager is "NOT" for you. A good looking cell phone with all the bells and whistles and stylish appeal, then look no further.
Best things about it: It's Great looking and user friendly at first trial. You don'thave to be teenager or in your 20's to appreciate and enjoy it, it's realy great! It's feature that makes it capable of voice reading text messages while driving is really excellent. I love how it feels in my hand, not to heavy, it's the perfect size. Very easy Bluetooth connection.
Bad part: Ring tones are too soft.-Browser needs some tune up.

Motorola Bluetooth Headsets - Some Hot Sellers.
Motorola currently has two stylish Bluetooth headsets on the cell phone accessories market : the Motorola HS810 and Motorola HS820. They are also scheduling to release the all new the HS850 some time soon.
Both devices, the HS810 and HS820 are very similar in style and shape. They are both Bluetooth enabled and can thereby communicate with Bluetooth 1.1 compliant devices, including handsets, PDAs and computers. The HS810 and HS820 both weigh about 20 grams. The HS820 does have a slightly longer talk time range of 6 hours, compared to the 5 hours max that the Motorola HS810 offers. Both headsets can run on standby for 100 hours.
The HS820 has the ability to communicate with your phone up to 33 feet away, and is equipped with a few great features such as conference call and voice dialing. The HS810 goes for about $97.00 while the HS820 sells for $76.00.
Information on the newest Motorola headset, the HS850, has recently been released. So far it got high marks from those who had the privilege to test it and offer their reviews. Like it predecessors, the HS850 has a simple yet attractive design. The main casing is black, with silver around the control area . One of the great features that this device offers is the "flip-on connection system", which enables the headset to connect with your phone by just flipping the phone open.

Jabra BT500 Reviews - What are consumers saying.

The Jabra BT500 in our perspective:
The Jabra BT500 Bluetooth Headset is lighter and thinner with about 30% than its predecessor. Weighing at about 0.68 ounces (19 grams), the headset will fit behind your ears with ease and comfort.
What's more, Jabra has attached a new convenience feature into this headset. It's called the Mini-Gel. The purpose of the Mini Gel is to provide clear and crisp sounds when you are using the phone, as well as reduce background noise coming in.
It fits in behind your ear easily, without much trouble. You can activate the headset by pressing the Answer button found on the unit. To end the session, press End. Volume of the headset can be upped or reduced by a slider.
The LED display will tell you about the battery power and charge levels. The status modes that are displayed include:
- Off- Active- Standby- Mute- Low-Battery- Office Mode
The battery life of the Jabra BT500 headset has been significantly improved than its predecessors. According to Jabra, the maximum talk time is 8 hours and standby time of up to 240 hours (about 10 days)! It will need at least 2 hours of charging to fully charge up the battery so that it should meet these performance.
The sound quality of the Jabra BT500 is pretty loud and good. Thanks to the built in Mini-Gel which helps in reducing background noise, the headset is even more louder. The maximum range for this Bluetooth 1.2 headset is 33 feet. If you carry around the headset in extremely windy or rain conditions, you might experience some turbulence, but it is still much better then the other headsets around.
The Jabra BT500 will not tickle your ear when an incoming call is received! Jabra has not built in a vibration feature to the bt500 headset. The battery performance is greatly improved, due to the lack of this vibration feature.
The Jabra BT500 is compatible with most other Bluetooth devices that have Bluetooth 1.1 capability or higher. You can hook up the headset to other bluetooth enabled devices within a 10 metre radius.
Consumers Reviews on the Jabra BT500
Positives:
Comfortable - The headset is a great fit, and it's not going to accidentally fall off of your head. It can be worn for hours without adverse affects.
Good Audio Volume - It is very easy to hear the recieived audio. I don't have to press the earpiece closer to my head or readjust the headset to increase the volume.
Easy to use - The headset buttons are logical and well marked. The headset is able to pair and operate without any problems.
Negatives:
Background Noise - Road noise at highway speeds was very noticable. Although the noise didn't conflict with my conversations, it was obvious to my callers.
Power Options - A car charger is not included with the headset.
Final Thoughts:
A mobile headset choice, either wired or wireless, is very subjective. The BT500 meets my objectives of comfort (hours of conference calls), audio quality (a loud receive audio), and battery life. Although the audio quality to the caller isn't perfect while I'm in a car at highway speeds, the audio is still adequate for most communication.

Keeping Safe with Cell Phones While Driving.
The information to support the dangers of cell phone usage while driving is somewhat not completed, but there is no doubt that any form of distraction while behind the wheel is a serious concern. Some researchers claim that the problem with cell phone usage during driving is more about text messaging, videos etc. rather then the talking itself. In fact the state of New Jersey has recently banned text messaging while driving.
A hands free device or kit such as Bluetooth headsets or wired headsets allows you the freedom to drive safely with both hands on the wheel. A few years ago the devices were of really poor quality, making cell phone users rather reluctant to use them. Technology has now improved to the point that you can often hear better through the hands free device than you can through the ear piece on your cell phone.
Bluetooth devices are rapidly gaining in popularity. A Bluetooth wireless device eliminates the need to carry the phone; a small ear piece that fits over your ear it transmits a signal over short distances to your mobile phone. It is a simple procedure to get your Bluetooth device to sync with your phone. Most phones today are programmed to detect when there is a Bluetooth device in close proximity.

What Features Do You Really Need On Your Cell Phone?
The newest brightest innovations typically come at a price. If you are looking to keep your wireless costs down you might want to consider which features you can do without. Eliminating unnecessary or unwanted services and options will help reduce your bill. So what are some of the options that might warrant careful consideration in order to control those fees?
Text messaging - Text messaging can come at a per text price. Frequent texts to friends add up quickly and multiply. One option to bring down this cost is to add a messaging package to your plan. Typically you can purchase a set number of messages or unlimited messaging for a fixed price. Eliminating text messaging for the kids can be another option. If you have Internet capability on your computer, encourage them to send an email. After all, the price of internet access is by the month, not by the email like text messaging.
Internet access - Internet on your cell phone is not a necessity especially if you have Internet access at home. Check to see that only the basic services you need are what you are being charged for every month.
Global Positioning Systems - Wireless devices that are equipped with the latest technologies may provide GPS-navigation and location services. These can be valuable but pricey.
Sending pictures, videos and picture emails are other forms of media functions performed wirelessly on wireless phones. Viewing television from your phone is another option and can keep a child content during an unexpected wait or on a trip.
If you feel these features and options are either necessary in part or extensively there a plans and bundles available to save you money. Check with your provider for details and pricing.
Downloads: downloading music to your phone that has an MP3 feature, ring tones and answer tones, which can be a great way to personalize your phone or alert you to who is calling and games are all entertaining and fun. Beware; sometimes these services entail recurring charges.
What is the 411 on dialing 411 or directory assistance? This service can not only provide you with the number you need but additional services such as directions and reservations. This is on a pay as you go basis. Advanced preparation can help keep these costs at bay. Let's not overlook the wireless or cell phone devices itself. There are a multitude of them to choose from that range in design from children's use to the ultimate techie with all points in between. What are the options available, cameras, MP3, TV, GPS, multi-media messaging to name a few plus external options such as wired and Bluetooth hands-free accessories.
Look for free phones and promotions (some available only online) when purchasing equipment. They may require contracts and require upgrades in service. Keep in mind that the more you add the more it costs especially if it is new technology. Costs tend to go down after an item has been on the market for a time so if you can hold off for awhile it may pay off.

Bluetooth Helmets for Motorcycle Riders

That is why Parrot, one of the leaders in wireless technology for cell phones, has launched the Parrot SK4000, a Bluetooth hands-free motorcycle kit that features FM Radios and wireless mobile remote control.
The Parrot SK4000 stands out with a clear-cut noise reduction and echo cancelling and the widest range of features. Motorcyclists can now switch between their favorite songs and answering calls through the easy clip-on wireless remote fixed to the bike’s left handlebar. The Parrot SK4000 offers the motorcyclist the choice to listen to music via Bluetooth wireless technology on the FM radio or from analogue sources via the line-in. For calling, thanks to Parrot’s multi-speaker voice recognition software, there is no need to record voice tags anymore: the kit automatically recognizes the contact’s name spoken by whoever is using the kit, and makes the call automatically. Also, the unique Text To Speech feature (voice synthesis) on the Parrot SK4000 reads contact names from the user’s phonebook through the earpiece and is also able to name radio stations to help the driver identify the correct station.
Now it's possible to have a hands free mobile phone conversation from the back of the bike or even to change songs. You may not have noticed this transformation, but bikers are seeing major changes as a result of technological changes.
Next time you see them out on the road, maybe you'll spot the use of these headsets. And if you are a biker yourself you definitely don’t want to miss out on the great benefit of this latest motorcycle gadget.

How to Choose a Bluetooth Headset.

If you think choosing a cell phone is already too extensive, choosing a headset can be just as bewildering. With so many styles available, headsets are quickly becoming fashion accessories in their own right. And as their use increases, especially with the hands-free legislation for drivers, you now can go far beyond clunky, tangle-prone wired headsets by using Bluetooth headsets. Bluetooth offers a convenient and user-friendly wireless connection between a headset and a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone, that’s why they are “in” not only for gadget lovers, but for the “Simple” people as well. Until recently, there weren't enough capable phones to match the wide array of headsets. Fortunately, those numbers are beginning to even out, and you can even buy Bluetooth adapters that let you use a headset with a non-Bluetooth phone.
All Bluetooth Headsets fit all phones. This is a thing that gets many consumers confused. No matter on your cell phone brand or model, any Bluetooth headset will work for you. All cell phones are manufactured to accept a standard Bluetooth headset.
Boom or without a boom. If you favor the traditional headset look with a microphone that arches toward your mouth, a model with a boom might be the best fit for you. Most models use a standard ear clip, but others clamp on in alternative ways. Some people feel that it is easier for them to be heard when using one that has a boom. However with today’s noise canceling technology this should not be such of a concern. Others won’t touch a headpiece featuring a boom, claiming that it gives them the look of a professional telemarketer. If looking like a telemarketer isn't your thing, consider using a boomless headset, where the microphone is located on the earpiece.
Fashion or simple. It depends on your taste, age and profession. Styles range from simple to the very stylish ones. Since headsets have become a stylish accessory, some people purchase a few Bluetooth headsets in order to match their attire or occasion.
Check out ShopCell.com’s extensive selection of Bluetooth Headsets, and all other cell phone accessories.
